Since I was in a depressing mood anyway, I decided to see if there was any update (lies) about the helmets we all ordered. I got what I expected. This is the second time I’ve been burnt by a crowdfunding scam. It will be the last. Too bad because I really liked the idea of supporting the “small guy” vs the corporations, but I need to learn my lessons, like my wounds, and not make the same mistake again.

On 3/4/2022 I received Update #44, same copy & paste information of testing & shipping preparations.
I emailed my question as to WHEN the helmet will ACTUALLY ship, as I donated to this campaign in 2019. I did not receive a reply. In June 2022 I sent another email of inquiry, and to date, Sept 2022, still no reply. ONE BIG SCAM, I learned of the product when one of the founders was interviewed on TV & stated the reason for designing this product was to honor the memory of the founders relative who was killed in a bicycle accident in Philadelphia. What an exploitation!! I’ll never donate to another Indiegogo campaign again!!

I order 2 helmets years ago also! One person I ordered for has since passed away! Will I also die before I ever get these helmets. Disgraceful ! Start refunding!!!

Update #44 today. The helmet has passed “preliminary testing” and will now head into several weeks of safety testing, followed by “tweaks to the design” followed by…I’m guessing another update. I’ve already made peace with my donation to the scammers running this outfit, but what irks me are these updates. Every time I get one, it’s like seeing “hey there, sucker, thanks for the money!!!” I don’t for a minute believe I will ever receive a helmet (although I’m considering adding it to my will in the event that I’ve died of old age by then). We live in the age of video – if any of this existed, they could have posted video of some evidence of it long ago. But the voyeur in me does want to see how this ends. Will the email updates just…stop? Will they just declare bankruptcy and maybe a last apology email? Will they be arrested on another scam? It’s a great soap opera. Or at least, I have to think of it that way so I don’t have homicidal fantasies.

It is now March 2022. Still no product and the latest update #44 still talks about delays. There is no consistent communication from the company. A communication every two months, at best is too slow. I’ll take my money back, P&D can’t deliver.
